The Nied’s Hotel Band is a Pittsburgh-based rock and R&B band formed in 2003 by vocalist John Vento. The project began as a studio recording inspired by the historic Nied’s Hotel tavern and later evolved into a full live band. Known for blending original material with classic rock, blues, and soul influences, the band delivers energetic and engaging live performances. Over the years, Nied’s Hotel Band has become a staple of the regional music scene, performing at clubs, festivals, and special events throughout Western Pennsylvania. The group has released multiple albums and live recordings showcasing their songwriting and musicianship. They were named “Best Bar Band” in Pittsburgh Magazine’s 2016 Readers Poll and remain a respected and well-established act in the Pittsburgh live-music community.
